How are Small Businesses preparing for the FIFA World Cup in North Texas?

The FIFA World Cup is merely weeks away and here in North Texas we will host matches at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Along with some of our cities such as Mansfield and Frisco hosting teams during the World Cup.
DFW will see a major draw of tourists and visitors over that period meaning Dallas and Fort Worth is preparing for a boost in finances. The projections of the local economic impact is well over $1 billion with higher estimates being over $2 billion. Good thing is that the area is preparing actively to help small businesses benefit from this experience.
The North Texas FIFA World Cup Committee set up B2B Contracts to let local businesses be vendors or provide services for select events and activities. This will help theme get more recognition and make sure things stay clean and healthy and allow for vending with the tourists and more relating to the World Cup.
For other small business they will likely take the grassroots approach like Bars, Restaurants, Retail, and hospitality because these will likely see injection of people to watch the games instead of going to them (have you seen those ticket prices they are up there).
The major grassroots program called Team DFW™ was launched by Clients First Marketing and Communications. It functions as a structured playbook to help small, independent venues tap into the massive influx of international soccer fans through three primary menus:
DFW Goes Global: Assisting local restaurants and bars in throwing themed events tailored to the specific international teams playing at AT&T Stadium.
Shop Local, Cheer Global: Organizing community pop-up markets featuring artisan products, music, and food from diverse cultures.
Go for the GOOOOOAAALLLLLL!: Providing logistics and marketing support to help local property groups, pubs, and venues host official-feeling fan-fest watch parties for high-demand matches.
These are some great examples on how small businesses are always important to major events and typically as we say are the backbone of the economy.
Looking forward to more articles on the FIFA World Cup Action coming to North Texas the goods and the bads but also how it impacts small businesses just like Star which is based here in North Texas! Look Forward to more.
