'No Kings' rally draws 150,000 to Boston Common
The 'No Kings' rally in Boston drew massive crowds, attempting to address a range of issues facing the country, including healthcare, the war in Iran, and unjust activity by ICE. No Kings reported 150 thousand people marching in Boston Common on Sunday and more than 8 million people across the country. I should be clear that I did not attend this protest, but I believe in taking action to move the conversation forward on these issues. And I know that the first step to taking action is making myself heard. But when is the right time to speak out? And where is my place in the conversation? We can ask these questions, but if they are holding back speech, or keeping us out of the conversation, then it may be time to push ourselves a little harder, and do what we can to do our part. For those who are already giving their all, and finding their own way to address the issues in their community every day, even turning these things over in their mind, Star is with you. We created this network in order to help everyone speak out on what is important to them. Let's move forward together and recognize the responsibility of expressing our needs. I need ICE to get out of our communities. I need to stop worrying if I can afford healthcare or take care of my family. I need to know what we can do from Boston when U.S. leaders recklessly drag the country into war. If you have any thoughts, ideas or needs you would like to express, please add a comment or reach out the Star team.
