By: Wesley Alexainder Angel Star The Polestar Lineup Well do you remember that out of this world sportscar roadster that had a drone with it from Polestar? I do, the amazing design that was once a concept will now come to life as Polestar 6. This is the second conceptual model from Polestar to become a full-fledged production vehicle (the other was the Polestar Precept which in 2024 will be Polestar 5). The O2 was first revealed earlier in 2022 and was designed to show the new aluminum design from the automaker. It is a fully electric sports car, and it is also beautifully designed, and it is just a unique take on design. Polestar which is a joint venture with Volvo and their apparent company Geely only has the Polestar 2 on sale right now with Polestar 1 being retired as of 2021 and Polestar 3 (all electric SUV) coming in October 2022. Polestar 4 is expected to be revealed next year in 2023 as a hatchback SUV. The Polestar O2 and Polestar Precept share a very similar design language and gives us a glimpse of what Polestar thinks consumers would want in the future. The Polestar 5 and 6 will be built on a new 800-volt architecture and that will bring ultra-fast charging to the EVs, The Polestar 6 is expected to have up to 884 horsepower and go from 0–60 in 3.2 seconds, the top speed will be 155mph. Polestar 6 won’t begin production until 2026 but you can go and begin reserving the vehicle now on the Polestar website. It remains to be seen if the production version keeps all of the cool concept features or not. Polestar 3 October 2022 Well since we know now that Polestar O2 is going to become Polestar 6 let’s move back in time to now. Polestar 3 will be Polestar’s first attempt at a fully electric SUV. The vehicle itself will be a very powerful vehicle as it is running an NVIDIA G FORCE chip that is something more common in a Gaming PC or a Gaming Console such as Microsoft’s XBOX or Sony’s PlayStation 5. The vehicle design is beautiful a full Aluminum and Glass design along with their iconic seats and yellow seat belts. The Polestar team is very smart, and this design is just purely amazing. It is a very modern feel to an SUV, and I do think this looks way better than Volvo’s SUV’s of 2022 and this will directly compete with the Tesla Model 3’s of the world, and I actually think this is a better car than the Tesla Model 3. Conclusion Polestar is probably one of the companies that make me really excited to see where the future is headed. With them reminding me of Steve Jobs and Jony Ive’s relationship during the glory days of Apple, not only are they giving us good design but they’re doing it for way less than the Tesla’s of the world and give you a great stylish premium design which is something we can all agree on. When you think about design when it comes to the automotive industry it’s more than just the look and feel, but how the consumers connect with the product itself, and this is why we cannot wait for Polestar 6.
